Description of the test

• The Flag Award for Schools is based on the Internal Flag Tests developed for BA employees. The principle of the Certificate is based around the student’s ability to converse in the language and is assessed through four different modules.

Part 1 General Conversation (4-5 Minutes)

• The tester uses three topic:

• A) introduce yourself / family

• B) Choose one topic from:

• ( home/ hobbies/ favourite food)

• C) Choose one topic from:

• Holidays/ job/ favourite pop star

Part 2:Reading

• The candidate needs to read four to five lines in the target Language (Announcement)

• Video 1

Part 3: Role play (2-5 minutes)

• Select two flashcards

• Video2

• The candidate will take the role of the staff member and the tester will be the customer.

• Video 3

Part 4: Listening

• The student will listen to 5 statements ( 4 in TL and 1 in English) and will have to report it to the tester.

The Assessment

• The minimum pass mark of the test is 40%.

• The minimum pass mark for each module will have to be gained in order to pass the test in its entirety.

• If successful, the student will get BA Flag Award Certificate and a language badge.
