TLC OPENS MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND!

Opening DayTLC will be open Memorial Day Weekend, Saturday 10 AM to 5PM, Sunday and Monday 1 to 5 PM. Wewill be open all weekends June through Labor Day; on Saturdays 10 AM to 5 PM, and Sundays 1 to 5 PM.Beginning in July, we will also be open Wednesday each week from 1 to 5 PM. Remember to renew yourmemberships if you haven’t already so that you can enjoy the new exhibits!

ExhibitsL.S. Aero MarineThe original sign for the L. S. Aero Marine has a new lifeinside the museum. As you look from the front of thebuilding toward the back, look up and you’ll see the‘new’ old sign. The photo below shows the new signageand Craig Butler’s efforts to display it. These are theletters that were mounted on the front on the building(fastened to the top of the “ledge” above the door &showroom windows). We know who made them, whenthey were mounted, and when they were taken down(apparently, it was difficult to remove heavy snow loadfrom behind them during severe winter weather). We willbe installing exhibit signage that tells the “story” andincludes an early photo of the building.

Also, in 2018, the property at 73 Lakeside Drive will be 100 years old. Craig Butler is beginning to work inearnest on a large framed “Living History of 73 Lakeside Drive”. Dave Wesp is helping select photos thatwill chronicle the history of the property from the late 1800’s to the evolution of TLC and the facility oftoday.
