Lea SingersSummer Singing Festival
Lea SingersSummer Singing FestivalBenjamin Goodson Lea Singers conductor
Where local singers meet, discover and sing together
You would be amazed by the sheer number of singers in this area.
From the cathedral choirs at St Albans Abbey (where I sing every
weekend), to the choral societies, chamber choirs, Barbershop
groups, folk groups, award-winning children’s choirs, and
nowadays a whole tranche of community choirs, rock choirs and
glee clubs, group singing has never been more popular.
I’m passionate about the power singing has to bring people
together, and I’m delighted that this inaugural Singing Festival
gives me the chance to share my love of singing with you.
The Festival gives you the chance to discover more about your
voice and how to sing with others at our workshop afternoon.
You can hear the next generation of soloists – all talented,
local young singers – being coached by one of the UK’s
leading baritones. You can experience first-hand the unique
power of live performance in Marcus Farnsworth’s solo
Schubert recital, and in my own choir’s concert in celebration
of music itself. I look forward to welcoming you, your friends
and your family to one or more of our Festival events.
