My (Original) Definition of Leadership

• Leadership: the ability to inspire + lead people towards a certain goal or outcome. A leader should be a strong individual that can make people feel confident. Leadership is determination mixed with passion.

Leap of Faith

My Strengths

• Communication- find it easy to put thoughts into words. Good conversationalists and presenters.

• Woo- love the challenge of meeting new people and winning them over. Derive satisfaction from breaking the ice and making a connection with another person.

• Individualization- Intrigued by the unique qualities of each person. Gift for figuring out how people who are different can work together productively.

• Positivity- have an enthusiasm that is contagious. Upbeat and can get others excited about what they’re going to do.

• Futuristic- inspired by the future and what could be. Inspire others with their visions of the future.

• Traveling has hugely affected my life. I have been to many different countries including Spain, France, United Kingdom, Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, and Portugal.

• My family currently lives in Leuven, Belgium due to a research sabbatical that my Dad is on.

Friends• My Friends have shaped my life

more than any other factor. All throughout high school I was surrounded by a close group of friends who were always there for me. Many of the important things in my life have happened with my friends.

Medicine

• Medicine to me is not “I like science and I like helping people.”

• Medicine is about fixing problems. This is why I aspire to be a surgeon.

• Surgeons are considered the best of the best.

• “the art and science of surgery, the beautiful blending of medicine and precision.”

• The system needs to focus on patients, not procedures.
