A look back……

“Leadership Lynchburg has pushed me to examine myself as a leader on a closer level. I have been encouraged to take

more time for reflection. Through understanding myself more and my leadership style and skills, I am better equipped to

mentor and lead others knowing how I impact others.”

Terry Lanham, Babcock & Wilcox

Leadership Lynchburg helped me gain greater awareness of my strengths as well as weaknesses in my professional and personal

life.

Leadership Lynchburg really helped my self awareness. Not necessarily from the

standpoint of not knowing how others perceived me, but more how I impact others

through my selfish actions.

Not only did I gain awareness, but I also was able to learn skills/tools to help me grow in

areas that were identified.

Something else that's very important is that I believe the sky is the limit for my ability to

contribute to whichever organization I choose. It's just about remaining dedicated

and seeing things through.

I am beginning to understand/value my family more and LL had a lot to do with that.

I'm going to miss the monthly sessions. I could always sense renewal in myself,

through these sessions.

Leadership Lynchburg taught me to listen. Not in the sense of hearing information, but the skill of taking in feeling and having empathy and understanding. The biggest piece of this, and what I gained from the program was the willingness to not always have the last word, and do things my way. I learned to allow others to lead and use their gifts to everyone's overall benefit.
