Lesson 25 ﴾day 2﴿ : OneStep and TwoStep Equation Word Problems
• TwoStep Equation Word Problems Require a similar, but more complex, process to solve than onestep equations. > Some ways they may be set up:
2(p+3) = 22 c2 = 2 3
v + 4 = 112
49 = 2s +1

The Sum of Consecutive Numers
1. The sum of three consecutive integers is 9. Write an equation to find the integers.
We don't know the first number, so let's call it "x".
x plus 1 more will give us the second number. x plus 2 more will give us the third number.
x + (x+1) + (x+2) = 9
This could also be:
3x + 3 = 9
