Library Catalogue: How to find a dissertation

http:// unihub.mdx.ac.uk / study / library

Access the Library CataloguemyUniHub > My Study > My Library > Library Catalogue

Select ‘Library Catalogue’ from the list of resources

In order to find a dissertation….

….use the ‘General keyword’ search (this is the default search)….

….type the word ‘dissertation’ into the search box followed by a subject eg. computer or mental health, or a course eg. MAHRM. Click on ‘Go’ when you are ready.

Your search results are displayed

Scroll down the screen until you find what you want, then click on the title for more detail

You can now see more information about the dissertation

CourseModule

In order to see the dissertation get a ‘Dissertation request form’ from UniHelp. Complete the form and return it to UniHelp. Dissertations are issued for 3 hours for use in the Library only.

Some dissertations have been digitised

Click on the title and then the ‘Web access’ link to read the full-text online

Middlesex University Research Repository

You can also search for PhD dissertations on the Research Repository, which is available from ‘MyLibrary’ or http://eprints.mdx.ac.uk/
