Life in the future What picture do you have of the future? Will life in the future be better, worse or the

same as now? What do you hope about the future?

it seems that TV channels will have disappeared by 2050. Instead, people will choose a programmers from a 'menu' and a computer will send the programmers directly to the television

In what concerns the environment, water will have become one of our most serious problems

Imagine a school of the future

What if...you could design a school?

Schooling in 2050, at all levels, may consist of virtual teachers and classrooms as a major part of educational curricula

Kids will sit in front of screens a large portion of the day, listening to lectures and studying scanned material

Of course there will be social interaction too, maybe with international elements (as global systems merge)  like a science project partner in another country complete with headset-enabled translations where appropriate, for instance.

Otherwise, for school situations with face-time components, count on digital ID for everything from enrollment, to exams, to meal plans

Floating shoes that you wear and you have to turn on the floaters that make you float.

FLLYING CARS! All you need to do is hit a button. And then your flying! And the good part is they could be totally environmentally healthy by 2050. Telepathy? Robotic teachers?

Teleportation from class to class? ROBOTS To Monitor Hallways maybe? They could be totally high tech with radar to know where students are and if the y don't have their planner or a permission slip. Kinda hard to ditch then huh?

earning by hologram. Our teacher would be showed off a phone or labtop. You could call a number and there your teacher would be

Schools in the 2050 year Schools in 2050 are going to be more colorful

that they are today . There will be books that read it self over and over again . Helping you to MEMORISE all the facts that you need to know .

school in space? It could possibly happen you could be on a

rocket for school and travel around the earth to learn about geography

Classroom Environment

The room itself would resemble a living room, rather than a classroom, with soft furniture set up for easy conversation, mood lighting with high end virtual reality setups. Thus providing a student friendly environment

Virtual Reality Literacy Center

This elementary interactive learning center provides a gateway for participants to interact with literary pieces via virtual reality concepts.

Integrated into the center is an

online/electronic curriculum that

facilitates learning through “virtual

fieldtrips” into the edu-world. With sounds accompanying visual

cues, the stories come alive with

the reader as the main character

Virtual Learning Environment-1PCD (person computing device)is an individual, computerized research station containing wireless, voice-activated laptops ,VR and Video equipment, access to the other hardware and software available in (and out) of the room. It is linked to the facilitator command module. This module enables the learning facilitator to design and incorporate holographic simulations, observe and assist in learner research and development, provide immediate feedback, video-conference , and manage record keeping of learner assessment portfolios

eLibraryLibrary automation software that allows access to cooperative

collections from district libraries as well as advanced interlibrary loan connections for students and teachers to borrow books and materials world-wide.

Effortless wireless broadband connections to information networks.

Synchronous teaching facilities across networks for independent study.

Multimedia facilities for perusal and production of information resources. Primary source documents widely available in digital formats to support teaching and learning

E-labsMajor drawback of present labs is unsuitable

atmosphere for experimenting leading to high experimental errors.

Future VR labs will give experimental friendly environment

In the year 2050, everyone including children will Possess a comobile : a pocket sized computer that is closed to being a human being . A comobile, being a virtual teacher, will give children two hours lessons and four pages of homework per day.

Education will be driven by technology, so it will not be limited time or to one place .

Learning can happen anywhere and at anytime .

Students will be motivated by a structure that allows them to explore and learn in innovative and interest driven environments.

this is how schools will be like in the year 2050

What wont change??

Playgrounds!!!!
