April 15th, 1989: Hillsborough Stadium, Sheffield. 96 people died, many of them were from Liverpool.

The part of the Stadium where the spectators and the supporters sit looks like a hill.

• was written and composed by Richard Rodgers et Oscar Hammerstein for a comedy, Carousel, in April 1945. Then, it became one of the best-known peace songs in the 1960s.

• In the United Kingdom, the song's most successful recording was released in 1963 by the Liverpudlian Merseybeat group Gerry and the Pacemakers (it was number one in the singles chart for four consecutive weeks).

• The song quickly became the anthem of Liverpool Football Club and is invariably sung by its supporters moments before the start of each home game.[11] The words "You'll Never Walk Alone" also feature in the club crest and on the Shanky Gate entrance to Anfield, the home stadium.
