Financial & Technical Barriers

• Budgetary problem• No proper IT infrastructure • No Proper Manpower• Less Support from the Authority & IT cell• PC’s Vulnerabilities • Problem of Real IP or Sub-netting• Data Entry Phobia• Server Maintenance Problems

Influences behind success?

• Development thinking• Bindings for service development • Positive Attitude of LIS Professionals • Attending seminars/ lectures / training

programme• Union efforts • Project funding arrangement- UGC-HEQEP, INASP-PERI, Karmasuchi, etc.

Recommendations

• OSS can be selected rather than Customized SW. • LIS should have knowledge on IT • IT professionals should be deployed • Proprietary SW can be used but expenditure is more.• Budget should be enriched. • Training & Motivational Programme should be

arranged for both (professionals and authority). • Starting development from the boyhood. • Project /Kormosuchi funding should be arranged.
