DESCRIPTION

As a part of the #thirtyfiveproject, one of my goals is to make 35 new to me recipes. In all their awesome, my friends Martha & Sarosh volunteered to help me cross a few off the list. Here's the record of our first cooking adventure - #lobstermacodyssey2014... It was awesome!!

The Recipe• ½ Cup butter (unsalted)• 2 shallots, minced• 2 cloves garlic, minced• ½ cup flour• 4 cups whole milk• 4 cups shredded cheese (gruyere, cheddar, parmesan)• 2 cups lobster meat• Salt, Pepper to taste• 1 box Macaroni (da…;-))• Bread Crumbs

* Generously serves 10 people

Step # 1 – Extract the Lobster Meat…

Be Brave… and have the right tools!

Then Commit & Dive Right In…

*ProTip – use a rolling pin to help you extract meat from the legs

Chop the delicious lobster meat…

And… set, aside.

Step # 2 – The Sauce…

Start with the shallots and butter…

Add flour…and milk (slowly) to make a roux*

*fancy culinary lingo for base – can be used for sauce, soup, etc.

Add CHEESE!

*KEEP Stirring… or bad things happen. Like. Really Bad. ;-)

Once smooth… slowly add sauce to cooked and drained macaroni.

*if you don’t know how to make macaroni (instructions on box), we suggest not attempting this recipe ;-)

Add lobster… and you guessed it, STIR!

Arrange in greased casserole dish… Dust with Bread Crumbs.

Bake at 375 for 30 – 35 Minutes…

And… Voila!

Serve with steamed greens… ENJOY!!
