DESCRIPTION
growing up in Houston, Texas i never heard or thought about logging. but after moving to Idaho several things became part of my daily vocabulary for whatever reason. logging is one. i spent much time researching the history of logging in the Pacific NW. then i began to paint. and i painted for weeks on end until the 70 ft. continuous story painting was completed. it is a story about my neighbors ' occupation and their fathers and their fathers and their neighbors' fathers and so on and so on. this is a part of Pacific NW history. you can learn a little about it without reading a word. just look at pictures. it might not be as boring as you think.

THIS IS A STORY.
AND A PAINTING.
HERE WORDS HAVE NO USE.
READ WITH YOUR EYES AND MIND.
CREATE YOUR OWN STORY.
I will set the scene for you. this is an album about logging in the Pacific N.W. it is neither PRO nor CON. This is your story. i painted the originalwhich unfolds to over 70’ and is done in a traditional Chinese style as a continuous story painting in watercolor/ink on rice paper.
