How to Invite a Guest to Your Scheduled Zoom Class

Login to Canvas and choose your course from your Dashboard

Along the left navigation, choose “Zoom”

On your Zoom page in Canvas, click on “Upcoming Meetings”

Find the meeting/class you would like to invite the guest to and click on the blue link under the Topic column (ex. Office Hours below)

After clicking on the meeting from Upcoming Meetings, it will bring you to your meeting details

Next to “Invite Attendees,” choose “Copy the invitation”

When you click “Copy the invitation,” it will open the meeting invitation information

The invitation will include the meeting date(s), the meeting link, and join by telephone information

Click on the blue box that says, “copy meeting information”

The meeting information has now been copied to your clipboard and you can later paste into an email

Open a new email in your email (ex. Outlook or Gmail)

Make sure you are in the text field of the email

Select “Paste”

The meeting information will copy into the text area of the email

Enter the recipient information in the “To” field

Enter a subject line (ex. Invitation to Zoom Meeting for…)

Send when ready
