House Prices

Residential property prices in the London Borough of Barking &

Dagenham have risen 1.2% in the 12 months to November

2018. Looking further back, average house prices in the

Borough are presently 70.4% higher than 10 years ago.

Housing Stock

At present 29.1% of the housing stock is in the Private Rented

Sector (PRS), with 60.5% owner-occupied, and 7.2% social

housing.

Rental Markets

Average monthly rents in the borough are £1,193, with rents in

London rising 0.2% in 2018

New Homes

In the 12 months to September 2018, 187 new homes were sold

in the borough, which is 9% higher than the recent annual

average. At present the average price of a new build property in

the borough is £391,529
