This Los Angeles summer internship program option offers undergraduate and graduate students theopportunity to spend 10 weeks interning in the fields of film and television. There are no classesoffered in this program. Instead, students intern full-time for networks, studios, or other companiesthat specialize in film or television production, development, casting, or related areas. Not available tocurrent AD/PR students.

This internship-only program gives students the possibility to work professionally in the heart of thefilm and television industries. Upon successful completion of the internship, students earn fourBoston University credits.

INTERNSHIPSInternship placements are contingent on the student’s past experience and available opportunities soflexibility is essential. Recent internship placements have included CSI, The Disney Channel, E!Entertainment, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Fox Home Entertainment, Fox Movie Channel, HBO Films,Jimmy Kimmel Live, Lionsgate, Panavision, Sony Television, and The Weinstein Company.

DIRECTOR, LOS ANGELES PROGRAMSBill Linsman is an international televisioncommercial director. He holds a BA inEconomics from the University of California andan MFA in Cinema from the University ofSouthern California. Currently he is anAssociate Professor in the College ofCommunication at Boston University, teachingfilm production and direction.

HOUSINGHousing is provided at the guarded 168-acrePark La Brea complex in Los Angeles. Studentsshare fully furnished tower apartments and havefull access to the amenities at this centrallylocated apartment complex.

SUMMER 2014 PROGRAM COST$8,000. Cost includes tuition, housing, fieldtrips, and emergency travel assistance coverage.Financial aid is available.
