INTRODUCTION

A wireless sensor network is a collection of wireless sensors covering a small area.

Every sensor performs independent sensing processing and transmission of data over wireless link with minimum power consumption.

These include low-energy signaling and networking

SENSOR NETWORK

Gateway sensor node

SENSOR NODE

A sensor node, also known as a ‘mote‘ It is a node in a wireless sensor network

that is capable of performing some processing, gathering sensory information and communication with gateway sensor node

POWER AWARENESS FROM RADIO HARDWARE

The functionality of both transmitter and receiver are combined into a single device know as transceiver are used in sensor nodes.

The operational states are transmit ,receive , idle and sleep

Low Voltage Operation1.8V minimum supply

MICROCONTROLLER :-

Here we use ultra low power microcontroller (eg Texas MSP430 )

ADVANTAGES

Low cost Low power Small size Fast operation Reduce of man power

DISADVANTAGES

Short communication distance It’s damn easy for hackers to hack Comparatively low speed of communication

CONCLUSION

• In human life a sensor network may be the powerful tool, because they can be deployed at the places where a man can not reach
