“They thought my name was Anonymous?”

When visitors stop by to view your videos, you want a real name associated with your video content.

* Login to your Magnify.net Account * Enter Site Admin * Select Content

View the items in your library

You’ll see thumbnails of your videos

Move unwanted videos to the Trash

Select the Trash Radio Button to verify what’s in the Trash, but don’t delete the trash until you’ve replaced all the videos

FADED TRASH Everything in the trash is

all faded out But we can still “Edit” it to

grab the info we need to replace it

Then head over to YouTube to search for the code

•Searching for the code at YouTube immediately finds the very same video.

•Click on the video thumbnail to view it.

• If you have installed theMagnify.net Bookmarklet, click on the link (located in the bookmark area of your browser window) while viewing the video

•Otherwise, grab the URL code located under the video

Get The YouTube Code

Click on “Signed In As …”

Click on “Submit”

Paste in the YouTube URL and click GO

You’re now back at a familiar screen, where info about the video can be entered.

Note the Identity …No longer Anonymous!

Double-check to verify everything is back in order

(Later you can empty the trash!)

Double-checking . . .

Video is no longer published by Anonymous –It’s published by the account owner!

We’ll do it one more time just to make sure you’ve got it down pat …

Clicking on EDIT . . . . . . Opens a screen with details for the video

Highlight the YouTube Video code

Click the Magnify.net Bookmarkletwhile viewing the video

OR

Once again, you’re back at the screen where a description can be entered for the video.

Note the Identity …No longer Anonymous!

Repeat the process until all videos that were posted as Anonymous have been re-submitted as your username.

This powerpoint slide presentation was created as a companion to the video tutorial by the same name.

Having experienced this strange phenomenon – while I was logged into Magnify.net – I sent the obligatory email to customer support asking for help, and received the usual “send me a copy of what you’re talking about.”

After investigating and not really coming up with answers to why or how this had happened, I decided to quit searching for answers and just fix the problem. A lot of round-and-round revealed the process. It was so convoluted that I figured I might not find the solution again if I had this problem in the future! To spare myself the pain and aggravation of figuring it out again, I created the video. Once I determined to share it, I also created the PowerPoint slides for those who prefer reading over viewing a video. Hope you found it useful.

(And I never heard anything else from Customer Support. ) - Vernessa
