Maker/Hackerspace

A hackerspace (also referred to as a hacklab, makerspace, or hackspace) is a community-operated workspace where people with common interests, often in computers, technology, science, digital art or electronic art, can meet, socialize and/or collaborate.

Makerspace – more about the creation using the software, hardware etc

From American Libraries:

“...makerspaces - places to create, build, and craft....where patrons and experts have often come together to learn new techniques and train others in a skill.”

Makerspace Survey 143 Respondents 51% public, 36% academic, 9% school 36% - library budget, 29% - grants 40% charging for supplies only Equipment included:
