MAKING OF THE POSTERChin Wah Lai

STEP 1

First I cropped out a picture of a man installing a light bulb using the magnetic lasso tool, and added a red background so that it would be easy to make the man’s shirt stand out from the background and make it easier to edit the photo

STEP 2

Then I used tutorial 4 to edit the man to make him more cartoon-like.

STEP 3

Next I edited a photo of a ladder using tutorial 4, and placed the man on the ladder.

STEP 4

After that I cropped out a picture of a tree, and split it into two parts, the trunk and the leaves.

STEP 5

Then I used tutorial 4 to edit both parts of the tree, and used the paint brush tool to edit the tree slightly.

STEP 6

After doing this, I used tutorial 1 to add a shadow for the tree, and used the eraser tool to write the name of the company on the shadow.

STEP 7

Next I combined the edited picture of the man and the ladder with the edited picture of the tree.

STEP 8

Then I used the gradient tool to create a background, to draw the attention of the people to the centre of the poster. This background also gave a source of light for the shadow.

STEP 9

Afterwards I cropped out a picture of a light bulb, and used tutorial 2 to make it glow.

STEP 10

Finally, I added the logo I made for the company on the top right hand side of the poster, and added a slogan under the tree in green.
