Creating and managing your Stores

Manage Your Stores

The Manage Your Stores button on the Dashboard allows you to manage your Store (or Stores if you have multiple Stores) and to add a new Store.

Clicking the Manage Your Stores button will display the Manage Your Stores page…

Manage Your Stores

Stores can be either Brick & Mortar physical store locations or online web stores. You may add additional Stores by clicking the Add New Store button

Click the Select button on any row in the grid to view and manage the selected Store.

Clicking the Select button opens a panel beneath the grid…

Store Information TabThe panel displays either 4 or 5 tabs depending on the type of Store (either a Brick & Mortar Store or an Online/Web Store).

The first tab displays the selected Store’s information:

Store Information TabThis form is used to create a new Store and to edit an existing Store’s information. For existing Stores, you may edit or change any field except the Store’s Login/Username. Note that only you, the Merchant, can change an existing Store’s password.

Store Information TabThe Store Type dropdown defines the type of store.

Select Brick & Mortar for stores with a physical location or Online/Web Store for online web sites.

Store Information TabIf the Store Type is set to Online/Web Store, the API Settings Tab is displayed to allow you to configure your store’s shopping cart to communicate with LayThisAway.

The Website URL field is also added to define the online Store’s web address.

Store Information TabThe Hours of Operation dropdown allows you set the Store to one of three values as shown to the left.

The Hours of Operation are displayed to customers who visit the LayThisAway website and view your Store’s information.

Store Information TabIf the dropdown is set to Master, the Store will inherit the Master Store Hours set via the Master Layaway Settings page that is available from your Dashboard….

Store Information TabIf the dropdown is set to Local, a panel will appear that allows you to set the Store hours for the individual Store.

This allows you to set the Hours of Operation for each Store individually…

The example below shows the display that appears when the Store Hours dropdown is set to Local. In this example, this Store’s hours are:

• Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM• Saturday: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM• Closed on Sunday

Layaway History TabThe Layaway History Tab displays a grid containing a listing of all open (currently active) Layaways for the selected Store:

Click the Select button on any row to view the open Layaways created by the selected Store.

Layaway Information Tab

There are two panels on the Layaway Information tab.

The left panel is entitled Layaway Summary and shows a summary of the information concerning the selected Layaway…

You can view information on the Customer by clicking on thebutton to the right of the Customer Name field. This will display a popup window that displays the Customer’s contact information…

You can view the Layaway Contract (Agreement) for this Layaway by clicking on the button to the right of the Layaway Contract field. This will display a popup window that displays the contact and allows you to view, print, or download a copy of the contract…

Note that you must have Adobe Reader to view Layaway Contracts.

The right panel of the Layaway Information Tab displays a listing of the items that have been placed on Layaway and a Payment Calendar showing the payment due dates.

Layaway Payment History TabThe Layaway Payment History Tab displays a grid showing all of the payments that have been made to date on the Layaway, including the Down Payment made when the Layaway was first created.

Enter a New Layaway Payment TabThe Enter a New Layaway Payment allows you to record a payment made by the Customer in your store…

Enter a New Layaway Payment TabThe Payment Amount field is automatically filled in for the agreed upon payment.

You may enter an alternative payment amount if the customer is making multiple payments at one time…

Enter a New Layaway Payment TabThe Payment Type dropdown list allows you to select the payment type.

The remaining fields are for informational purposes showing the current state of the Layaway…

Enter a New Layaway Payment TabClick the Save Payment button to record the Layaway payment in the LTA system.

When a customer makes a payment at your store, be sure to enter it into the LTA system! Otherwise, the customer will get a late payment notice!

Layaway Settings TabThe Layaway Settings Tab allows you to configure the Layaway Settings for the selected Store.

Setting the Layaway Settings here will override the Master Layaway Settings allowing different settings for this particular Store…

Layaway Settings TabThe Docs/Images Tab allows you to manage documents and images such as logos and flyers for the selected Store.

Manage Your Stores Summary

The Manage Your Stores page allows you to:

• Create new Stores• Manage the information for existing Stores• View the Layaways created by the Store• Enter Layaway Payments• Set the Layaway Settings for an individual Store• Manage the Stores marketing documents and images
