DIFL Philosophy

Provide a safe and encouraging environment for children to learn and love soccer

Teach the value of teamwork and good sportsmanshipHelp younger players learn their skill areasHelp older players hone their skillsHelp all players learn respect—for referees, for coaches,

for managers, for teammates, for opposing teamsGive everyone an equal chance—no one can improve if

they don’t playBalance the sense of competition with the need to learn

and have funWinning is great, but playing is everything! Even the

team who comes in last should have a great time!

Some DIFL Basics

Teams once formed will not be changedAbsentees without good reason will not be

tolerated. Repeat absentees may lead to dismissal from DIFL for the season.

All players should be given equal opportunity to play in each game

Never play an unregistered playerNever borrow players from other teamsThe referee’s call is golden—help parents

understand this in case of any question
