Academic Advisory
Body
The Academic Council of the college comprises of Chief Executive Officer, Principal, Deans, Joint Director, Heads of departments,
Administrative Officer, Chief Librarian, Physical Director and Placement Officer. Academic Council Meetings are held twice in a year,
at the beginning of each semester, in an academic year. The key functions and responsibilities of the Academic Council are for setting
rules and procedures for the academic affairs of the institution, making recommendations on scholarships and incentives as guided
by the Governing Council, formulating and strategizing, means and methods for development of research activities, making regulations
for co-curricular, extracurricular and sports activities for students, formulating guidelines for ensuring internal quality etc.

For academic courses, feedback is sought from the students in the middle of the semester. For other activities such as the Library,
Canteen, Transport and Maintenance, Hostel, etc, students of members of the various committees for providing their
feedback. Alumni are interacting and giving feedback regularly twice a year.

Grievance redressal
mechanism for

students
There is an organized procedure followed for redressing grievances regarding academic matters, hostel accommodation, health
services, library, transportation and other central services. The cell is functioning under the guidance of the Principal in
consultation with members of committee and legal expertise. It focuses on addressing the basic problems of boarders regarding
mess and other amenities, encourages the students to express their grievances, to promote healthy student-student and student-
teacher relationship etc. A Complaint Box has been installed on the campus and in the hostel. The grievance is taken up by the
members of the committee, discussed by the team, and the redressed.

Counseling/Mentoring
The concept of faculty advisors is being followed in the institution. As per this, a faculty member would be allotted 17 to 20
students from a class for the purpose of personal interaction with the students regarding their academic and other related issues.
Once in every semester an open day is conducted in the college so that parents and faculty interact and address the problems of
the students.
Career Counseling
The Placement and Training Cell headed by an officer regularly conducts awareness sessions for the benefit of the students in
the areas of Higher Studies, Placement Opportunities, Inplant Training, employability Skills, etc. The cell provides opportunities
for placement in Core and Software companies for the benefit of the students.
Medical facilities
The college has clinic with facilities for offering emergency first aid facilities. An ambulance is basic facilities and a driver
would be available in the college premises around the clock.
Student Insurance The college has an accident insurance policy covering the safety aspects of the students.

Students Activity Body
Various forums such as IEEE, CSI, ISTE, etc. are available and actively functioning in the college for the benefit of the students, under the guidance of faculty incharges.
Cultural Activities Intra collegiate/ Inter collegiate cultural competition is held to hone their cultural skills. Participants and winners in these competitions participate in inter collegiate competitions at state and national levels.
Sports activities
The college has facilities in-house for both outdoor and indoor games such as Cricket, Football, Basket ball, Volley Ball, Gymnasium, etc. Both boys and girl students are encouraged to participate in various events at the intra , inter-zonal, university, state and country level. The college also conducts tournaments at the zonal level.
Literary activities The college has Halcyon club for English literary activities and Tamil mandram for Tamil literary activities. Both the clubs conduct various competition for students.
Magazine/Newsletter
Every year at least one magazine is published. The students write, edit the articles and design the magazines under the guidance of faculty in charge..The college newsletter talks about student and staff performance in academic and research related activities like publication and presentation of papers. Some of the departments also publish department level magazines with contribution from staff and students.
Technical activities/Tech fest
The college encourages students each year at the department level to conduct national level technical symposiums in which they organize various technical programs such as model building, design contest, programming contest, paper presentation etc for the benefit of the student fraternity from our and various other colleges.
Industrial visits/Tours All the departments arrange industrial visits in each semester for the benefit of the students. In the third year of their study, the students are encouraged to go on an educational tour accompanied by faculty
