OUR SERVICES

We airlift patients who have a medical emergency to urban hospitals for immediate attention.

Patients:

2006 - 2011 962 individuals.

Local community hospital local commuity. We return patients to their comunity of origen.

Types of Emergencies: Acute illness, accidents, snake bites, need for

treatment by specialist.

We transport Mano a Mano – Bolivia’s volunteer medical personnel to isolated communities to examine and treat patients at no cost.

General medicine clinics: 2006 - 2011 79 weekend clinics.

15.200 patients seen.

Specialist services: We mobilize emergency air transport.

Isolated comunities: Medical volunteers walk, ride horses, or take a

canoe from the airstrip to the patient’s communities.

WEEKEND CLINICS

We fly volunteer health care professionals to rural communities (including tribal) to present workshops on preventing tropical diseases.

Malaria. Dengue. Leishmaniasis. Chagas. Tuberculosis. Other tropical diseases.

FOOD DISTRIBUTION CAMPAIGN

2010 RESULTS

• MMA flew 502 hours.

• MMA provided transport for 22 weekend clinics for Mano a Mano Bolivia.

• MMA flew 54 hours to distribute food. Transported approximately 7,000 kilos

• MMA airlifted 384 emergency patients.

• MMA trasported personnel, equipment and replacement parts for Mano a Mano programs to wherever they were needed.

• MMA provided learning experiences for Bolivian youth in administrative areas, piloting and aircraft maintenance.

• MMA iniciated a training program for its personnel in pre-hospital management of patients, taught by a member of the Board.

• MMA organized a course on medical evacuations that we opened to the public. 60 people attended.

MMA DOES ITS OWN MAINTENANCE AND IS CERTIFIED AS “AN AUTHORIZED MAINTENANCE ORGANIZATION” BY THE LOCAL CIVIL AERONAUTIC AUTHORITY.

DGAC (FAA) uses our hangar and Personnel to do accident investigations
