Man’s Fallen Condition
Understanding Man’s Need
For The Gospel
Man’s Fallen Condition
• The Fall of Man – Genesis 2: 8-9, 16– Genesis 3: 1-24
• The Result of the Fall– Romans 5: 12, 18-19, 21
Romans 5: 12, 18-19, 21
12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; …
19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, …
21 That as sin hath reigned unto death,
MADE SINNERSSINJUDGMENT
TO CONDEMNATION
DEATH
1Cor 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
sting- a thing of venom or poison
Dead in Sins
Eph 2:1 ¶ And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
Eph 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
Col 2:13 ¶ And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
Implications Of Man’s Fallen Condition
1.Absolute
2.Hopeless
There is “good”… and then there is God’s
“good”. Mark 10:18 And Jesus said unto him,
Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.
God’s good is righteousness.
PERFECT
There is “good”… and then there is God’s
“good”. Psa 14:3 They are all gone aside, they are
all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Rom. 3: 9-11 9 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; 10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

If you are not perfect,
then you are dead without
Christ.
The Simplicity of Fallen Man’s Condition
• God is perfect.• Fallen Man is not perfect.
• Fallen Man’s spiritual condition before God is death.
• It is an absolute and hopeless condition without Christ.
