Example of Using Text to Create a Word Cloud

The first step is to prepare the data. Read the instructions for specifics. In this example I am going to copy the text of the Gettysburg Express.

In Step 2 paste the data/text in the box.

In Step 3 preview the data.

Fill in all of the fields in Step 5, and click on Create.

Click on visualize.

Scroll down and look at the different types of visualizations.

In this example, I am going to create a word cloud using Wordle.

You will see a screen with a progress bar as your visualization is created.

Once the visualization has been created, you can change some of the settings for Font, Layout, and Color.

Then scroll down to save the visualization. (See the next screenshot for details.)

Complete the required fields and click publish.

Once the visualization has been created, you have several options for full image, share this and watch this. Click on share this to get the html code and embed it in your wiki.

You can embed the visualization in two ways. As a Live Visualization or as a Static image.

To embed the Live Visualization, copy the first code and paste it in the wiki.

To embed the visualization as an image, copy the first code and paste it in the wiki.

The second option embeds a picture of the visualization, that is a link to the visualization in many eyes.

The first option embeds the actual visualization in the wiki. When you click on the click to interact button in the center of the picture, you can edit the visualization just like you can in many eyes.
