In your group…

• Review the parable of The Prodigal Son• As a group, discuss the following questions: – Is there anything in this parable that surprises or

shocks you?– In Jesus’ parables, the people or items in the

story represent something or someone else. Discuss:• The prodigal son• The other son• The father

The Lesson:• God is just and merciful, and he

offers forgiveness to the repentant sinner.• We must love the sinner and hate

the sin.• Conversion means turning toward

God and away from sin.
