A reaction to the work of Czech artist Petr Pisarik. In it we can find a combination of similar principles as the ones Pisarik uses in his own works, such as repetition for creating new shapes.

The work comprises of wooden frames and puz-zle cutouts. The frames were laser cut in order to create the puzzle pieces. Later the cutouts are combined together to create a small con-struction, while the frames are simply hanged.

Ionisationmotion graphic

year _ 2014

A motion graphic video based on a musical piece in this case Edgard Varèse’s Ionisation.

For each instrument an appropriate symbol was designed and animated. All of them were after-ward synchronized with the music to create a short music video.

Labyrint revue editorial design

year _ 2013

Redesign of the “Labyrint revue” magazine, a bimonthly Czech magazine about literature. The magazine is very specific because of a cou-ple reasons. It has very few photos or pictures, it is printed in b&w, it has somewhere around two hundred pages, and it mostly consists of chapters from different books.

The idea was to create a simple but still visu-ally stimulating solution to help you digest all those pages.

Česi na jadranu/ a tourist guide book design

year _ 2014

My intention was to create a type of tourist guide made for Czechs travelling to the Croa-tian coast, which would explore the stereotypes regarding Czech tourists. It would also have to help you plan and enjoy your summer holiday. That said, here you will not find recommenda-tions for restaurants, hotels, shops, bars or even photos. Instead, more useful advises and Czech summer folklore can be found.

The guide would also have to reflect how I per-sonally see Croatian mass tourism. This is one of the reasons for the twitchy/shabby tittles and illustrations which reflect Croatia’s tourism.

The guide is split into three books, the first one of which talks about preparing and planning (Chorvatistan). The second covers summer activities and other things such as food and drinks (Čehovanje). While the thirds is small booklet which tells the history of Czechs on the Adriatic coast.

The first book covers the so called out of season topics such as planning and preparing a summer holiday on the Croatian coast. Hence it has more organised cleaner look which reflects the out of season period. It is calm and not crowded, no masses of tourists creating traffic.

As you can see instead of photos there are placeholders with a search bar and a description which fits the photos intended to be there. Inside the bar you can find key-worlds which you can google and find out what were you actually supposed to see.

Since the second parts talks about summer activities, it is purposely made more hectic or as some would even say chaotic. It reflects the overcrowded touristic months (June till September).

In the final part of the guide you are unable to find any jokes or advises. Instead it is a booklet which tells you the history of Czech - Adriatic sea relations. Explaining the origins of some stereotypes and problems of Croatia’s tourism.

There was another booklet made for presentational purposes. It was made in order to help explain some stereotype about Czech tourists as well as to show how some Croats. It consists from screen shoots of articles found by searching (Czech tourist) on the Croatian google page.

Koraljvisual identity

year _ 2011

Visual identity for Koralj (coral in eng.) one of the biggest fishing cooperatives in Croatia. The main idea behind the identity is overlap-ping. Which we can be found in many places related to commercial fishing but also corals themselves which when overlapped sometimes create intriguing shapes.

The colors are inspired by sun rays traveling through the sea but also by fishes and fishing equipment. A system was developed which al-lows creation of multiple variants of business card, memos, etc. All in order to reflect the turbulent nature of the sea.

A display of “hidden messages” behind various names and abbreviations.

By assigning number to the alphabet we are able to calculate and get to the secret number behind the names. Such as 13 and 33 which are believed to one of the main masonic numbers.
