Blog Continued… My blog is updated almost every school day; however, if the Internet is down or if I am out of school, then it might not be updated. I do post important reminders and due dates, and when possible, I give some homework details. Homework Policies Homework counts for 10% of the overall

grade. Homework helps reinforce the concepts

taught in class & after the first nine weeks homework must be completed by the due date to earn credit.

Homework will be given almost every night. Homework is sometimes graded as an

accuracy grade, sometimes as a completion grade, but most of the time it is a combination of accuracy and completion.

Pinnacle I do my very best to update grades

weekly. Please check Pinnacle frequently (or have

your child check) to make sure you know how your child is progressing in class.

I try to post comments if a student has to make up an assignment due to an absence or if an assignment was partially completed.

Grade Categories Tests & Projects = 40%

Projects are accepted one day late for 80% credit & two days late

for 70% credit. Classwork Activities & Tasks= 25% Quizzes = 25% Homework = 10%

Not accepted late unless the student was absent & not accepted in

anything other than PENCIL.

A syllabus will be posted on the blog at the beginning of each nine week period. I only require a signature on the first syllabus, but if you have questions on a future syllabus, please contact me .

Advanced Math 6 Requirements Please remember your child needs to

meet specific criteria to remain in the advanced math track… Must earn 80% or greater in math class Must EXCEED on the CRCT in April. This means

the students must earn 850 or greater on the test. If you purchased a COACH workbook for your child, this will be a great study tool and resource for your child to prepare for the test.
