The website I used for my project was Tumblr, because of its versatility and already established fashion community. Tumblr themes can be strange because they can destroy
posted content if it’s too long, so I worked around my theme and established a short introduction.
• This intro is a simple overview and explains my pages and their functions
• Specifically targets an audience and directs who I’m addressing
HOME PAGE
The certifications tab is specifically for fashion merchandisers and anyone curious about the discourse. My major is unique because it offers a number of job titles, so I thought I’d offer a brief overview of some of these titles and
put them into perspective as to how they relate to one another. This is to demonstrate transferrable skills between
each certification.
CERTIFICATIONS
The blogs page’s primary focus is to address my problem statement on my home page and provide a demonstration of
blogs and why they’re useful. I started by describing the different types of fashion blogs and why each is useful, then used two examples from my genre analysis to demonstrate
my points while reaching for another source to demonstrate the last type of blog.
BLOGS
This page is to piggyback off my Blogs page. The primary function of the Blogs page was to give examples – the function of this page is to offer some references and sources to future fashion merchandisers or already
established merchandisers. I included a number of blogs from each type on my Blogs page, and offered a few more
interesting references. I’d like to develop a full list of useful sources eventually, as this list is incredibly small and
therefore probably useless in its’ current state.
