AN

INTERVIEW

WITH

ARCTIC

MONKEYSThe boys’ from Sheffield started out with ‘I bet you look good on the dancefloor’ in late 2005, beating The Sugarbabes and Robbie Williams, and going straight to number one in the UK charts. From this success, they only got bigger and better, and now they’re preparing to perform in Birmingham’s NIA. On November 20th, they’ll step on stage and perform songs from their new album, like ‘Crying

Lightning’ and ‘Cornerstone’, but also some classics such as ‘Brianstorm’ and ‘Fluorescent Adolencent.’ We asked Alex Turner, the bands lead singer, how he felt about performing on stage in the countries second city.“We’re really looking forward to this gig. Performing a huge arenas is great, as long as you can handle the massive crowds.”
