The year 2013 - 2014 was an eventful and record breaking year for NLC in production front.

In NLC, to evaluate and expedite the effectiveness of Integrity Pact
Programme the Independent External Monitors (IEMs) for NLC,
Shri. N. Sundaradevan, IAS, Former Additional Chief Secretary to Government of
Tamilnadu, Industries Department and Shri. D. Mukherjee IPS, Former DGP, Tamilnadu
have reviewed the Integrity Pact with all Senior Executives of NLC in its continuous
endeavour of seventh review meeting held on 15.05.2014 at Neyveli. .
Shri.B. Surender Mohan, CMD, NLC and Functional Directors, Shri Rakesh
Kumar, Shri M.S. Ravindranath and Shri S.Boopathy and Shri. Shiv Raj Singh, Chief
Vigilance Officer along with Executive Directors and senior officials attended the
review meeting.
Independent External Monitors appreciated the procurement policy, Manual adopted
by NLC and procedures followed by NLC in a transparent manner and also impressed
upon the awareness being made by NLC about the Integrity Pact Program across all
sections and stake holders of NLC.

AAShri B.Surender Mohan, CMD NLC inaugurated the new facilities in the New
Service Unit Complex i.e Central Work Shop which includes Fitting Shop ,Fabrication
Shop-II ,Foundry Shop, Pipe Slotting Shed, Auto Yard and a Over head Reservoir on
15.05.2014.
Functional Directors, Shri Rakesh Kumar, Shri S. Rajagopal ,
Shri M.S. Ravindranath and Shri S.Boopathy witnessed the event. Senior officials, staff
and workers, representatives of Trade Unions and Associations have participated the
inaugural functions in large number.

AATo gain control on their profession and their life by reducing personal stress,
NLC's Employee Development Centre organized a special lecture programme on
“Stress Free working” for the executives of NLC on 05-05-2014 at Yegneshwaran
Auditorium, EDC Neyveli.
Swami Taathvabodhananda Saraswathi from Ramakrishna Math , Coimbatore
has given special lecture on “Stress Free working” and insisted the role of employees in
making stress free work atmosphere , effective and balanced work management,
which was left good impression on executives.
Shri B. Surender Mohan CMD, NLC, the chief guest along with Senior
executives graced the occasion and honoured Swami Tathvabodhananda Saraswathi .

AAShri B Surender Mohan CMD, NLC inaugurated the New Activity Centre of People
Service Group (PSG) in the presence of Shri.N.Ilamparuthi, ED/SME&CON/Mines and thChief Patron, People Service Group, Tamilnadu on 15 May 2014 at B-1, Bow Square Block-
20, Neyveli .
Shr i . V .N Purushothaman , Patron/Genera l serv ices , PSG and
Shri. V Thamaraiselvan, Founder Cum General Secretary, PSG felicitated during the
occasion.
The PSG had been imparting free education to school drop-outs, creating awareness of the
rights of women and children and, organizing health and blood donation camps.

PSG Activity Centre Inaugurated
AAWomen in Public Sector (WIPS), Neyveli Chapter organized a health
awareness programme “Women &Related health issues” for the benefit of the thwomen employees on 15 May 2014 at I.E building, Neyveli.
Smt. Indusingh , Patron, Neyveli Ladies Club graced the occasion as chief
guest. Women employees made good interaction regarding women health issues and
exchanged doubts with doctors of NLC General Hospital. Smt R. Rajameenakshi
DGM/ MCO/CO witnessed the event and Senior women employees actively
participated in the programme.thEarlier, on 8 May 2014 WIPS celebrated Mothers's day by organizing quiz
programme for the young mothers and awareness programme by pediatrician's and
performed a skit depicting the importance of motherhood.
Dr K.Usha, President, WIPS, Neyveli Chapter, Principal office bearers and members
coordinated the events and made programme grand success.

Health Awareness programme by WIPS

Shri B. Surender Mohan, CMD, NLC inaugurated the training programme for 15
women from nearby villages to operate Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) from 07.05.2014 to
06.07.2014 under Entrepreneur Skill Development Programme (ESDP). In the same
function the CMD presented certificates and driving licence to the 25 youth who were
trained in operating Heavy Motor Vehicle(HMV) which was held from10.02.2014 to
30.04.2014 and 30 Project Affected Persons (PAPs) trained in operating LMV (from
28.01.2014 to 03.03.2014) under its CSR scheme.
Shri N. Muthu, CGM (HR) informed that,225 male youth will be trained in HMV,
EME and LMV and 200 women in beautician course, tailoring, typewriting, computer DTP
during the year 2014-2015 with an approximate cost of Rs.35 lakhs.
Shri D. Ravindran, CGM (CSR), Shri M. Karthikeyan, DGM/CSR and Shri A.
Mohammed Davood, DGM/EDC Shri N.P. Veerasigamani, ACM/CSR and senior officials
attended the programme.

Castes (NCSC) along with Shri D.Venkatesan, Director, State office, Chennai,

S.Lister,Investigator visited NLC's Chennai Office on 23-05-2014.
Smt PM. Kamalamma held discussion with Shri B. Surender Mohan CMD,NLC and
Functional directors Shri Rakesh Kumar, Shri S. Rajagopal, Shri M.S. Ravindranath and
Shri S.Boopathy along with the representatives of the NLC SC/ST Employees Welfare
Federation on the service matters of SC employees and their welfare. Shri N.Muthu,
C G M / H R , s h r i D . R a v i n d r a n , C G M / L i a i s o n O f f i c e r
and Shri. K.Kumaradasan,CM/Dy. Liaison Officer participated in the above meeting.
NLC management has given a Power Point Presentation about the company's profile
and recruitments, Promotion details, scholarship details, and welfare measures for SC
employees, and NLC's CSR activities.
A Review on Representation
National Commission for Schedule Castes visited NLC
AAShri B. Surender Mohan, CMD, NLC honoured 61 students of Jawahar Higher
Secondary School, CBSE (CNN) for qualifying the All India level IIT Joint Entrance
Examination-2014(Mains) in a brief function, held at Telugu Kala Samithi Neyveli on 05-
05-2014.
CMD , appreciated the efforts of students and faculty for qualifying 61 out of 64
with 95.30% and he informed that, Video conference facility will be introduced from
the academic year 2014-15 on wards for the benefit of the students to clarify their
doubts in subjects through the experts from all parts of the country.
Smt N. Yashoda Principal, Smt M .Sethumani, Vice Principal, Faculty of the JHSS
and officials of Neyveli Telugu Kala Samithi participated in the function.
