A SPIRIT-FILLED CHURCH IS A POWERFUL, GROWING AND

VICTORIOUS CHURCH !

A SPIRIT-FILLED CHRISTIAN IS A POWERFUL, GROWING AND VICTORIOUS

CHRISTIAN !

•Ephesians 5:18 Do not get drunk on

wine, which leads to debauchery.

Instead, be filled with the Spirit.

•Acts 2:1 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. •Acts 2:2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.

•Acts 2:3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. •Acts 2:2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.

Acts 2:17 'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Acts 2:18 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.

Acts 2:5 Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven.

Acts 2:6 When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard them speaking in his own language.

Acts 2:7 Utterly amazed, they asked: "Are not all these men who are speaking Galileans?

Acts 2:8 Then how is it that each of us hears them in his own native language?

Acts 2:9 Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Acts 2:10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome

Act 2:11 (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs--we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!"

3 TYPES OF SPEAKING IN TONGUES

1.) SPEAKING IN TONGUES WITH DIRECT TRANSLATION.Acts 2:6 When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard them speaking in his own language. Acts 2:7 Utterly amazed, they asked: "Are not all these men who are speaking Galileans? Acts 2:8 Then how is it that each of us hears them in his own native language?

2.) SPEAKING IN TONGUES WITH INTERPRETATION.

1Corinthians 12:10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.

3.) SPEAKING IN TONGUES FOR INTERCESSION 1Corinthians 14:2 For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries with his spirit. 1Corinthians 14:4 He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.

1Corinthians 14:2 (NLT) For if you have the ability to speak in tongues, you will be talking only to God, since people won't be able to understand you. You will be speaking by the power of the Spirit, but it will all be mysterious.

Revelation 2:4 Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love.

Revelation 2:5 Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.

John 16:8 When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment:

Ephesians 4:30And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption

Ephesians 4:30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Ephesians 4:31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.

B.) TURNING AWAY FROM THE HOLY SPIRIT GRIEVES HIM

1Samuel 15:10 Then the word of the LORD came to Samuel: 1Samuel 15:11 I am grieved that I have made Saul king, because he has turned away from me and has not carried out my instructions. Samuel was troubled, and he cried out to the LORD all that night
