Dress Code Reminder
for all Members and their Guests While on the course, Hitting Balls on the Range or using the putting
green, proper golf attire is required. No Denim of any kind and a
collared shirt must be worn. While in the grill or clubhouse golf attire is
encouraged but denim is acceptable, although denim is acceptable
collared shirts are required.
Thank you for your attention to this matter!
Off Color Language Directive Recently we have noticed more and more off color language on the
course, in the grill, etc. We ask kindly that all members think of others
while here at the club. There is a large amount of people that are
members here that come here to relax and enjoy themselves. They do not
care to hear that kind of language while here at the club. As well, we as
a club do not want to portray that image to any members or their guests.
We are on the edge of the summer break for school and that means the
young ones will soon be at the club on a daily basis. It is very important
that we make sure we follow this directive for the good of Fox Run as a
club and for the members of Fox Run.

FOR MAY NEWS LETTER
INTER CLUB ROUNDTABLE
Hi Everyone!
At the recent annual meeting it became apparent that with all the
new members, changes being proposed for club improvements and refinancing it
would be a good time to address the way communications between the members
and the Board are conducted. The Board has established an Inter Club
Communications Roundtable, Chaired by the Vice President, Steve Biley. Club
members who have agreed to serve on the Roundtable from the largest groups
are as follows:
Dick Garner and Rich Bennett for the Seniors Association
Simon Lyth/Bill Krebs for the 552
Susan Christian/Carolyn Anderson for the Ladies Association
Other members from other groups will be asked to join the Roundtable as
needed. The members are available to any member that has a concern, idea or
recommendation that they wish to bring to the attention of the Board, keeping in
mind that the Board makes decisions on a daily basis that involves the overall
operation of the club. Such decisions are made at the Boards discretion and are
not meant to be addressed in this forum. A monthly meeting will be held to
discuss any information obtained and presented to the Board at their monthly
meeting. Responses to member communications will be given by either direct
contact or in the Monthly News Letter.
This is a very exciting time at Fox Run! Many projects, both small and large are
going to start soon. Communications will be an integral part of keeping the
membership up to date. Together, let’s have good times while making Fox Run
the best golfing experience in the up country!

Explanation of Aerification of Greens for 2019 We started our greens aerification program some 7 years ago with the goal of getting a lot more sand in the green profile. The course went 7+ years without aerification of the greens. That put us behind the curve on having the proper amount of sand in the profile of the greens. That being said, the program we are currently using has allowed for more
sand in the greens but we are still behind in the amount of sand needed. We again plan on an aggressive aerification for early June in
2019. We will be pulling ½ inch plugs (the big holes) and inserting sand in the holes in late May which will get a good bit of sand below the
surface. As well, we usually do a solid tine aerification in late July which allows the greens to breath only. This year we will have to decide later in the year on pulling 1/2 plugs (the big holes) in late July and inserting
sand or staying with the smaller tines for round 2 in late July. Thank you all for your patience as we improve the course!!
This will take place on May 28th & 29th Nine holes open each day!!

News from the Grounds April is gone and I am glad to see it go! Because of the rainy and colder April , we are currently at least
three weeks behind on growing conditions. This first week of May is looking much better with nights in
the 50’s and 60’s and day time highs reaching into the 80’s, this is the weather we are looking for to get
the grass growing. With that being said we have put out our annual rough and fairway fertilizer this past
week. this with good weather will get some activity working in the soil and grass. We have also put out
our second fertilizer app for greens and we are hopeful to verti-cut greens next week along with,
topdressing and dragging. We are spraying weeds in the rough areas and among the trees between cart
paths. As everyone has probably noticed we finished our sod on 1, 2 & 9. Aggressive watering has been
implemented to keep these areas moist and allow rooting, I hope we can be playing these areas soon.
As always we look forward to seeing you on the course.
