Q&A with Dan Quinones: Life on Dan’s team in

mcaConnect’s Delivery Services Organization (DSO)

We look for people who enjoy problem solving, finding creative solutions to customer problems, working in a project environment; someone with leadership qualities who enjoys the fast pace of consulting and moving from project to project as necessary.

Please give us a brief description of what you look for in a good Consultant.

Give us a brief overview of what the day to day is like for a member of your team.

Day to day responsibilities include following our structured implementation methodology. This includes stages of Analysis, Design, Development and Deployment. At every stage, we work closely with our customers to produce project deliverables. Throughout the course of the project, we are training, observing, listening, documenting, working on a creative solution to an existing customer problem, managing project tasks and documenting findings, results or action items.

Nothing but the best! mcaConnect’s culture is one of a cohesive team, working towards a common goal. It is common to see consultants helping one another and working together to find the best possible solution for our customers. While we may be physically separated from one another, project teams often create lasting bonds that go beyond the last project. Team members stay connected and continue to help one another even after they are separated and have moved on to other projects.

What’s the culture like within the team and department?

The delivery organization has many exciting roles from associate consultants with little to no experience, to senior consultants and architects with a lot of real world and deep functional or technical knowledge. Whether you are functionally or technically inclined, mcaConnect has a spot waiting for you!

Career Development Opportunities? Company/Group opportunities?

I realize that in this industry, I am working with professionals, most of whom are self-motivated and take responsibility for their assigned tasks. The nature of being a consultant demands that. I work with consultants to improve their deliverables, their quality, their presentation, such that they are able to continue to grow as consultants and as individuals.

What is your management style like?
