Mental Health and Substance Use Services Updated July 5, 2018 PROVIDER DIRECTORY San Mateo County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) offers a broad range of
services for the prevention, early intervention and treatment of mental health and substance use
disorders.
BHRS Access Call Center:
To access mental health and/or substance use services, call the BHRS Access Call Center for
assistance in finding help for you or someone in your family. The Access Call Center will provide
an assessment, information and referral based on your individual needs.
ACCESS Call Center: (800) 686-0101, TDD: (800) 943-2833
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, call 9-1-1, tell them you are facing a behavior health
emergency and ask for a CIT (crisis intervention trained) officer, or go to your nearest hospital
emergency room if you can safely get there.
