•The Department of Agriculture is the competent authority for certification of meat exports

• Bahrain – live sheep trade has resumed, will

reduce meat imports

• Saudi Arabia – Brazil beef will soon come back

into market

• Egypt – drip in vac pack not yet resolved

• Qatar – MAA1569 has accepted 90 days for

chilled vac packed

• UAE – Halal standards updated, AIO’s will need

ISO QA systems and look at food safety as well
