Miniature WargamingSet in a dystopic sci-fi universe in the 41st Millenium Warhammer is a strategy wargame played in a turn based fashion between players. The players can create customized armies of a certian type, i.e. Orks, Marines. The battles can sometimes take a few hours to complete or often days. A typical deploy-ment of 30-50 “soldiers” are used in regular game-play; however, there is an Apocolypse expansion that allows for up to 100 “soldiers” per player

CharacterCustomizationEach player customizes they’re infantry by painting them based on community based standards for aesthetics. This is often a larger part of the actual warhammer culture than actual play-time, in certian cases gamers can spend hundreds, even thousands of dollars in customization investments for Warham-mer 40k.Warhammer also attracts a wide age group encom-pasing players in their teens to those in they’re mid to late 40’s.
