What your peers say…

I've tried to use Pharmacist’s Letter mobile app, but I haven't had a lot of luck with it. Unfortunately every time you search a new topic, you must re-enter your login and password. I much preferred using this resource on my computer

Peer Recommendations

Best Peer Advice

0 Students should be familiar with how to use the apps they select in advance of their rotation. The app is only faster if you know how to use it.

0 They should also check the apps results with their own calculations as to have confidence in the app. You do not want to be suggesting doses based on app calculations that turn out to be inaccurate.

48

My Advice

0 Download and try Micromedex and/or Clinical Pharmacology through Library Services

0 Try some of the free apps that we discussed (i.e. Medscape, one of the calculators and one of the translators and see how/if they could work for you.

0 Evaluate recommended sites to see if/how they will work for you.

0 Use the best of what an app has to offer

0 Look for specialty apps that may work for different rotations.

0 Stay in touch with Library Services!
