Speakers are timed by intrepid Rotarians and are quickly followed by the next speaker.

At some stage proceedings will be halted as a major event has just occurred somewhere in the world and the Security Council members are called to a separate meeting to discuss and recommend action. They report back later.

Teams and individuals are judged by a number of people over the two days and at the end of the Assembly the winners are announced and prizes awarded by the guest speaker who this year is Brigadier Phil McKee Deputy Chief of NZ Army who will have addressed the Assembly on the role of the NZ army in peacekeeping activities.
