Over 1,700 dead due to swine fluNEW DELHI, Mar 15:

36 more deaths drove the swine flu toll pastthe 1700-mark while the total number of peoplesuffering from the contagious disease reachedclose to 30,000 in the country this season.

Data collated by the Union Health Ministry

today said that as on March 14, the disease hasclaimed the lives of 1,710 people and 29,558 havebeen infected by it across the country.

The Health Ministry had yesterday said that ason March 13, 1,674 people had perished acrossthe country while the number of affected peoplewere 29,103.(PTI)
