About the battleIt was the first battle in
NC.It was the first southern
victory.The Americans won the battle by taking out the boards and putting lard
on the boards then cutting them in half.
When the British walked on the bridge they fell in
the creek and the Americans shot them.
After the battle the Americana’s captured more than 1,500 rifles, 350 shot bags, 150 swords and 15,000 steering.
The British commander name was Charles Cornwallis.
