Hello, Multilingual Team!

Writer: I started writing for my university newspaper in 2007. Since then, I have written for national independent magazines in Canada and am a staff writer for a local news and culture blog here in TIG’s home city of Toronto. I am passionate about using language to communicate ideas and spread messages to help make the world more informed and better connected! This is also what excites me so much about TIG!

Volunteer: As I am sure you all know, volunteering is a rewarding way to contribute to the world while also gaining valuable skills and experience. I was a volunteer board member of the student housing cooperative that I lived in during university. I also volunteered with a group that successfully campaigned to unionize the campus food service employees of the University of Toronto. Both experiences taught me much!

I came to work for TIG because I wanted to get involved with a meaningful community that would allow me to engage in social issues while interacting with other intelligent, socially conscious individuals.

I am pleased to be coordinating TIG’s multilingual team because in our increasingly globalized world, communication and interaction are becoming ever more vital. A strong multilingual platform is more important now than ever!
