Built in 1879, the Victorian-style Wyndham Tremont House is located in the Strand Historic District, within walking distance of the 1894 Grand Opera House.This location is also within walking distance of the Strand Street Theater. The hotel is on the trolley car route that runs to the beach and throughout downtown. Tremont House has soaring ceilings, 11-foot windows, and period furnishings. The four-story atrium lobby, with ironwork balconies and full-size palm trees, showcases an 1872 hand-carved rosewood bar.
