Music Video – Prelim – Editing Diary

The first task was to import all of the media which included sorting through all the raw footage (which wasn’t a lot however there was a lot of failures), fortunately for this specific video the majority was only one shoot therefore I only had to compile 3 shoots and an audio file. As I did not own a copy of the song ‘R u mine’ by the Artic Monkeys ii used a YouTube converter to obtain the audio file (demonstrating how a wide range of media software is being used), once sorted and obtained all the media was then imported into Premier Pro (Adobe), as seen on the left.

The original plan was to use the official music video audio introduction however during the recording Christian spoke too slowly and said the first couple of words wrong, meaning that the audio wouldn’t match up so as a change of plans I kept Christian talking naturally and let it flow into the music as the official video does, then it was just a case of splitting up the audio file from the car video and removing it and then matching up the other sound tracks and videos.

At times I was required to mute and toggle the video output (blank out certain video tracks), in order to get a more accurate match up with the lip syncing and actions.
