We are all looking forward to our
Summer Fete on Saturday, midday to
3pm. There is a huge selection of
events and stalls to enjoy. The
money raised goes straight to
improving the school for the
children. A massive thank you to the
PTFA and helpers who have worked
tirelessly to putting on the event.
We hope you can join us.
Congratulations to Alex and Lizzie in
Year 6 who both attempted a Mock
Foundation Level Maths GCSE at
Wycliffe College and achieved a
‘C’ level GCSE – absolutely fabulous!
Next Wednesday we have our Church
School inspection, where we are
judged on our Christian
Distinctiveness. We appreciate all
your support with helping children to
celebrate their use of our Christian
Values at home – the stories are
fabulous and great to share with the
whole school. More Service badges
have now arrived and will be given
out next week.
We have a busy few weeks ahead,
key dates are:
Keystage 2 Awards Evening –
Monday 11th July 6pm to 8.30pm.
It is a fun evening for all
Keystage 2 children and their
families to celebrate the huge
range of talent from the
Performing Arts to Sports. The
Choir and Drama Club will be
performing along with children
who have been learning an
instrument. A huge range of
sporting achievements are
awarded.
End of Year Reports to
Parents/Carers – Friday, 15th July
followed by Parents Evening
consultations by request on
Monday, 18th July 3.30 to 5pm
Year 6 End of Year performance
supported by Year 3, 4 and 5 –

evening with song, dance and
lots of humour

12.30pm at Westonbirt School
Swimming Pool.
Year 6 Leavers Assembly –

End of Term— Friday 22nd
July, school closed at 1.20pm
after picnic lunch – all welcome.
Please collect children at the
normal locations.
Lots of children enjoyed the
Dentist visit this week and the
toothbrush gift. We hope that
children are taking on the advice
with cleaning their teeth and
watching the types of food they
have.
We have successfully appointed
Caroline Curtis this week to be
the new Reception Class Teaching
Assistant, and will be joined in
the mornings by Heidi North who
has also accepted a role in
Reception. We are very pleased
with the new team in Reception
starting in September and all the
new staff have met the new
Reception children this morning.
If you have a 2 year old or know
someone who does, you or they
may be eligible to a free nursery
place. Please talk to Julie
Heavisides, in Phoenix as we have
a fabulous new 2 year old provi-
sion in the refurbished Terrapin.
Finally, we hope you enjoyed
Sports Day! Lots of pictures in
next weeks newsletter.
One final request for Sainsbury’s
school vouchers the deadline is
coming up. The vouchers are
great at boosting resources in the
school.
See you at the Fete on Saturday.
