Program Objectives & Costs:

1. Public Agency community outreach

2. Decrease water use and non-point source pollution

3. Improve habitat quality for wildlife

4. Promote citizen involvement in stewardship

5. Supply local plants to restoration projects

6. Educate participants re: plant uses and values

7. Increase use of native plants in public/private landscapes

8. Preserve local plant diversity & genetics

9. Preserve landfill space for long term operation

10.Participants get exercise, take home plants, create

community/family, maintain local sense of place

COST: $30 - 60K/agency/year
