WHAT ARE AUTOIMMUNE DISEASES?
The body’s immune system is made to protect from invading diseases and infections, however when a person has been diagnosed with this form of disorder, the body’s immune system will attack the healthy cells.
Autoimmune disorders or diseases can affect any person, but those who are at a greater risk are those of Hispanic, Native, and African American. Women are higher in autoimmune diseases then men.
Outside of taking the prescribed medication to treat the illness there are vitamins that may reduce the affects to help live well productive lives.
The three autoimmune diseases that will be focus on are Type II Diabetes , Multiple Sclerosis and Lupus.
