SOUND

*Sound is a vibration and can travel in any direction from the source.*Vibrating objects transmit these vibratons into the air.*Large vibrations -> loud sound*Small vibratons-> soft sounds

*Sound can travel through gases, liguids ando solids, even if they are opaque

CHEMICALChemical energy is released when a chemical reacton occurs

A Chemical reaction occurs between the petrol and oxigen

This chemical energy is then transformed into kinetic energy

KINETIC

All moving things, from large planets to tiny atoms, have kinetic energy.

This energy is produced througt motion or movement

The havier an object is, and the faster it moves, the more kinetic energy it has

ELECTRICAL

Electrial energy is used to power machine.

We can transform it into light, sound, heat and movement

A lot of our electricity is still procuced by burning fossil fuels

Electricity can also be generated using energy from sunlight, wind, water and biomass.

THERMAL

Thermal energy flows from a warm substance to a cooler substance, This flow is called heat

A change in the thermal energy of a substance can also make the substance cange state

SOLAR

This energy is renewable and doesn´t pollute

However solar panels can only be used in sunny climates

WIND

This energy is clean and renewable but wind turbines only work in windy places

They can also damage habitasts and kill birds

WATER

This energy is renewable and doesn´t create pollution, but the construction of dams damges habitats and causes biodiversity loss

BIOMASS

Organic m material derived from living thing wood, dried vegetation, food waste

Biomas is burned -> steam produce turs turbine -> electricity

Causes air pollution

GEOTHERMAL

Heat produce by the decompesion of undergraund radioactive.

Dosen’t pollute Limited to certain geographic ares
