• Log in to Naviance

• If you are having trouble logging in, see Ms. Salazar or a counselor

CLICK ON THE “COLLEGES” TAB

Click on” Colleges I’m Thinking About”

You MUST add colleges here first!

ADDING COLLEGES

Click on “Add Colleges To This List” Click “Look Up”--Search for the colleges/universities—Click on the name of the school

Once you have added ALL the schools you will be applying to, click “Add Colleges”.

Application List: Colleges I’m Applying To

School’s should be in the “Colleges I’m Thinking About” list UNTIL you have officially SUBMITTED your application.

**DO NOT MOVE COLLEGES FROM “COLLEGES I’M THINKING ABOUT” TO “COLLEGES I’M APPLYING TO” UNTIL YOU HAVE SUBMITTED YOUR APPLICATION!**

Select the schools where you have submitted applications Click “Move to Application List”.

Transcript Request -Select the type of application—the fault is “Regular Decision—Regular Decision, Early Action, Early Decision (no one should be applying Early Decision), or Rolling Admission.◦ Make sure you select the correct type of application—Early Action application

processing will be given priority.

-Check off the “Transcript” box—if the “transcript” box is not checked off, no transcripts will be submitted.

-Check off the “I have submitted my application” box—if this box is not checked off, no transcripts will be submitted.

-Click “Add Applications”

If you have followed directions, this is what you should see under the “Colleges I’m Applying to” tab.

Application Processing LMSA Counseling Dept. will be submitting the following documents on your behalf:◦ Official Transcript◦ ACT (check with college/university if the ACT score needs to come from the

ACT testing agency)◦ Fee Waiver (if eligible)◦ Letters of Recommendation

◦ Common App Teacher Evaluation (Make sure you notify your teacher that this form needs to be completed if you are applying via the Common App—can be done in Naviance)

◦ Counselor Letter of Recommendation (Must ask counselor and must complete self-assessment)◦ Common App School Report

Allow two-weeks for transcript processing

Updating Results

Make sure you update the “Result” section◦ Click on the little pencil icon

◦ Select:◦ Accepted◦ Denied◦ Guaranteed Transfer◦ Conditional Accept◦ Withdrawn◦ No decision◦ Incomplete

MANDATORY: College App. Processing Fee

Don’t forget to pay for the College Application Processing Fee ($30)—no transcript processing until paid◦ Not eligible for a fee waiver◦ Must be paid to Mr. Perez—cash, personal checks, or money order
