Dailymotion is a videosharing platform Headquartered in Paris, France.

Dailymotion enables members and visitors to view, share, upload and

comment on personal videos.

What are your rights or restrictions as a Dailymotion participant?

If you have an account and are a registered Dailymotion user, Dailymotion does not own any of your content.

However, for as long as your content is hosted on Dailymotion, you have given authorisation to alter and reproduce that content as deemed appropriate by Dailymotion.

By uploading content to Dailymotion, you are allowing other members and other users to view and transmit your content on and through the website for as long as it is hosted on Dailymotion.

Any content hosted on Dailymotion is to be streamed ONLY on Dailymotion.

This means, no downloading, reworking or redistribution of other users content.

Dailymotion is by no means obligated to monitor the content

which is added or uploaded to their sharing platform.

Therefore, as a member of Dailymotion, always remember that YOU are the one responsible for the content which has been uploaded.

This implies that once you have uploaded content to Dailymotion you are assuring them the content you have uploaded is not breaching any property rights.

So if you plan on uploading content that was not created by you, then you SHOULD gain permission to do so.

And it is also crucial to make sure the content you choose to add to Dailymotion maintains a

certain ethical standard.

It is encouraged that you express yourself, however always remember to be courteous to others.

When uploading or commenting on Dailymotion content do not discriminate or incite hatred in

any way in regards to another users:

Dailymotion relies on its community to notify them directly if there is any inappropriate content or comments in circulation.

Any reported content will be removed and could result in account suspension or deactivation.

Worst case scenario, relevant authorities may be notified!

So just remember to be courteous, tasteful and respectful and you wont have to worry about account suspension, deactivation or the authorities knocking down your door!

Also, some parents may wonder, is my child permitted to use Dailymotion?

To register an account with to use Dailymotion you must be 13 years of age of older!

If you are a parent or legal guardian of a child who is 13 years of age or under

Which you have discovered has registered account with Dailymotion

Simply email Dailymotion with details of the situation and the account will

be deactivated.

So there you have it, if you abide by the rules set out in the terms of service (TOS),

you will enjoy a hassle free user experience.

If you do not, your account may be suspended or deactivated.

If you do not want to, maybe you should not use, or discontinue to use

Dailymotion.
